Tool/software:
According to the datasheet DRV8842 DC Motor Driver IC datasheet (Rev. G), undervoltage can be indicated by the nFAULT pin.
I thought this meant that if VM fell below VUVLO(=7.8~8.2V), nFAULT would indicate L. Is this correct?
If so, I would like to know if the following operation is suspicious or not.
In my circuit, +24V is supplied to the DRV8842 via a relay, so its VM will fall below VUVLO when the relay is off, and it does.
I suppose nFAULT will also fall to L when the relay is off, but it took more than 5 minutes or in some cases I couldn't observe it to be L.
The nFAULT pin is pulled up by 10kohms to an external 3.3V supply, which is a bit different from a sample schematic on the datasheet.
Please let me know if any further information is required.
Thank you and regards,
