The H-bridge generates a differential signal that has data encoded on it and supplies power to downstream devices. Some devices have large reservoir capacitors that can initially look like a short circuit at switch on and cause a large in-rush current.
Could I use the off-line diagnostics current sources to pre-charge the capacitance (I realise at 3 mA it could take some time), or will the current source be disabled if a short is detected?
