DRV8962: DRV8962 Parallel Outputs

Part Number: DRV8962

Tool/software:

I'm interested in paralleling DRV8962 outputs to allow for increased current to the load. Load in this case is a 50V resistive heater. Note that one side of the load would be grounded, so only the high-side FETs would be enabled and controlled via PWM.

What combination of paralleled outputs are allowed here? I noticed that in the EVM users manual (Sec. 8.1) , there is a provision for shorting outputs OUT1 to OUT3, and OUT2 to OUT4, but the datasheet (sec. 8.1.3.4) recommends shorting OUT1 to OUT2, and OUT3 to OUT4. Which is correct? Is it possible to short ALL outputs together?

Note that I plan to essentially disable the low-side FETs by setting the INx high and PWMing the ENx. That way only the high-side FETS would be enabled, minimizing shoot-through current.
