DRV8305: How to get the register contents obtained by SPI into the MCU

I am using MCU and SPI to rewrite the control registers of the driver. The fact that the contents of the registers have changed from the default (successful rewrite) using write and read commands was confirmed by using an oscilloscope to view the SIMO and SOMI waveforms.
However, I do not know how to get the information obtained by the read command into the MCU.
The MCU is a TMS320F280025C.
