MCF8316A: SPEED_MODE register

Tool/software:

Hi Team, 

one general question about the definition of SPEED_MODE register (via PWM signal). 

Is  the contents of the register, where the mode is defined, volatile and must be transferred to the driver after each reboot of the microcontroller, or the settings remain stored?
