MCF8316C-Q1: Pump start problem

My customer uses the MCF8316C to drive an air pump, we used the default configuration and we found that the current would rise when the pump was started, but the pump was not working. Until the current rises to 1A, the pump will act suddenly, as shown in the video, are there some suggestions? e2e.ti.com/.../228.mp4
