DRV8718S-Q1EVM: Vds OC protection is not just a current peak, but oscillating and duration is 20-35ms

Tool/software:

GH7, GL7, GH8 and GL8 is used for driving a motor via H-bride. VDS_LVL is set to 0.5V. 

When H-bridge output is shorted to GND on the mosfet driven by GH8 the response is a normal expected current peak duration of 200 - 300us.

If H-bridge output is shorted to GND on the mosfet driven by GH7 the current is oscillating between 60 - 40A and stopped after 20 -35ms.

can it be a normal behaviour? If not what can cause this?
