DRV8803: DRV8803DW

Dear Ti Tech support. 
We are using your low side driver DRV8803DW in one of our design driving 24 up to 4 Solenoid drives. They work fine as solenoids. Recently we added a 24V pump instead of on of the solenoids and and the drivers have been failing not able to drive the pump channel while they can still run the solenoid valves. 
The pump is a brushless pump which draws about 600mA. I understand this specific model can drive up to 800mA per channel, so the load should still be within specification. 
Also I read the product has both current and temperature protection, so why is it failing? For our specific application we are using channel 2 to drive the pump's GND. 
I am attaching our design schematic for your reference. The capacitors are placed as per the design reference on the board. 

Please help.
