Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8306
Tool/software:
Hello,
I am currently using a maxon EC45 flat (30W) an a maxon driver (DEC24-2).
The current driver has external mosfets, takes as input a speed target, a direction and hall sensor signal.
The motor has a nominal voltage of 12v, stall current of 10A.
In my application, a speed controller with a current limitation works fine. It wont be necessary to go over 5A.
I saw that TI makes this great integrated fets drivers in the MCT serie that would simplify the design of the next board.
However, I am affraid that the 8A peak limitation of the driver won't be sufficient, in regards with the stall current of the motor. Specifically for the start phase. Again, I won't put the motor in a stall situation.
Can you tell me if the driver is a solution for my configuration ?
If it is not, I saw the DRV8306, that needs Hall sensor and external fets.
Sincerely
