DRV8214: Some questions about DRV8214

Tool/software:

1. Is it possible to switch-off Vm, (to save power in a battery appliction) while maintaining Vcc and all logic-related settings of the device configuration?

2. If the highest current-sensing is used (350mA to 2A), does the velocity-regulation still work in case the motor-current temporarly decreases under this value?
