DRV8873-Q1: operation of DRV8873 with reverse current from motor

Hi experts.

I am currently using the DRV8873 motor driver IC to drive a DC motor. During operation, I have noticed that there is a reverse current flow of up to 2.3A from the VM pin due to the motor's back electromotive force (EMF). I would like to inquire if this behavior is considered normal for the DRV8873 IC.
