Part Number:DRV8302
we are using a design based on the DRV8302 EVM and we are having issues running the BLDC motor consistently in open loop mode.. Looking at the gate signals, we are seeing pulses drop out, porches on the high side gate drive etc while running at ~1000RPM (eventually we will run up to 8000RPM). Not being familiar with motor drives, are these expected or do they point to some issue? The PWM signals into the DRV8302 do not exhibit these behaviors and look good (20khz based PWM). We are running 12V for the motor drive using AOB290L FETs, We did increase the 2.2uF GVDD cap to 4.4uF and that seem to improve the signal, especially on the leading edge porch, but we assume that is some artifact when the gate voltage reaches 12V and the FET starts to turn on, but is that the same on the falling edge? Not sure what is causing the drop outs (FAULT is staying high, happens on all 3 phases)
Blue is PWM-H, Pink is PWM-L, Green is at FET Gate.
