MCF8315A: What is the best way to make my motor step or drive it super slow (in order to align it manually) ?

Everything is working fine when it come to drive my motor "fast' with my design with MCF8315A.
Now I would like to move it really slow or step it in order to find a sweet spot to align optics attached to the motor.
What is the way to do it, if possible ?
